Your roof rack is actually supported by your Fit Kit inside of your door jamb and the foot on the bottom that makes the contour to your roof. So once those things are fastened down, it kind of clamps across the vehicle giving you stability to your crossbars. The crossbars themselves are made of extruded aluminum, and it has an H-shape on the inside. What that does for you just gives you a higher measure of stability and rigidity. Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars with the 2500 Series Towers and a Custom Fit Kit on our 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. This roof rack is a great solution since we don't have a hitch or any raised rails to transport our extra gear, freeing up space in our vehicle. Rhino-Rack designed these bars to be aerodynamic, and that is partially due to its shape as well as the vortex strips here. They have the rubberized grooves here that allow for reduced wind drag and wind noise as well. They can carry up to 165 pounds, so just check with your vehicle's specification to make sure you can carry the extra weight. We put up a roof rack on our roof and this is the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Bar roof rack system and the vehicle is a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse. So, these are aero bars which are gonna be nice and low profile and aero-dynamic. So, it's not gonna be whistling whenever you're going down the road. These are 54 inches long, so when I have them perfectly centered up on our roof, you have about three inches from the tower out to the cap. So, for starters, this roof rack here is gonna be specifically designed for models with embraced side rails, which is what this particular one has here. So adding a roof rack to your Equinox, it's gonna be an excellent option because it's gonna make your vehicle that much more versatile. Now there's a ton of different things we can use a roof rack for. Let's say we're taking a long road trip with a family, we have several members of the family in the vehicle with us. Therefore, cargo space is kind of limited. We don't want too many suitcases in the back there. more

This is what you call a platform rack, which is this whole platform that goes on your roof rack, essentially except we got them on our bed racks and on top of our bed of our truck today. You can see all the slats that go across have the T track, so you can put your accessories in here. Slide it and move it to where you want. Today, we're going to be taking at the Yakima LockNLoad Platform-Style Rack on our 2020 Chevrolet Silverado.It's going to be a great way to add a little bit of spice to your guys' Silverado. It's going to add a really cool tactical off-road look, and this is going to be built for off-road applications. So if you guys are putting it on your roof or on these BedRock HD bars on the bed, it's going to be able to hold against all of those bumps and rattles and stuff if you guys do plan on going off-road. It is going to be made of aluminum, so you don't have to worry about it rusting away over time, has a nice, really cool looking black powder coated finish, kind of goes with the OEM look of all the black trim on our Silverado here.I have it on the bed right here. I kind of like this look just because I love the bed bars that Yakima has. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima round bar roof rack system on our 2017 Chevy Express.This is going to be a great addition to your Express van just because obviously we're going to be able to fit quite a bit of passengers in here, and it's always nice when you're going on vacation and you have a lot of room just to kind of relax on the long drives you may be taking, so luckily we can put either all the gear that they may have with a cargo basket or a cargo box up on top of here, or if you want to carry all your canoes, kayaks, or even a decent amount of bikes you can put them up here as well just so all your passengers will be nice and comfy.These are the 66" round bars that we have on top of our Express van here. They are made of steel with a nice powder coated finish, so they are going to resist against rust and corrosion over time. Also they will have a weight capacity of 165 pounds, but make sure that your Express van can handle that kind of weight.Honestly, with 165 pounds you can use these yes, for all the recreational stuff you may be doing on your vacation, but also for work. You can throw lumber up here, drywall, even a couple ladders. All you got to do is just make sure it's tied down properly and then you're ready to hit the road.So let's do some measurements for your guys. more

Curt Roof Rack Crossbars Installation - 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video

Today, we have a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe and we're going to be taking a look at the Curt roof rack system.these are going to clamp to your factory raised rails. And they do have a little bit of rubber on the inside of these clamps so you don't have to worry about your factory rails getting scratched or damaged when these are installed. It's really easy. You just plop it down and just twist this knob and then you can actually lock it as well. more
